I want to personally invite you to join me for a fun filled afternoon as I make my return to the famous Flora Bama Tent Stage and I’ve added a HUGE bonus! My buddy and ICONIC songwriter Will Kimbrough (writer of Jimmy Buffett’s “Bubbles Up” among other hits) is joining me for his only appearance at Meeting of the Minds in 2024! This show will be talked about all year long!
This iconic stage is where I long ago cut my teeth on the Gulf Coast scene and where Southern Drawl Band always performed for local festivals and shows. There’s A LOT of history with me on this stage and I can’t wait to share that with you for my only solo show of the week as I return home to the world famous Flora Bama!
Will is a native Gulf Coaster and hails from Mobile Alabama right down the road. His songs have been recorded by Jimmy Buffett, Little Feat, Jack Ingram, Todd Snider and more. Kimbrough has released several solo albums to date, and has collaborated on many more, as well as serving as a session musician and sideman. Kimbrough was one of the guest artists at Jimmy Buffett‘s Live from the Gulf Coast Concert on July 11, 2010. If you don’t know his music yet, I promise you’re going to be a new super fan! And you won’t meet a nicer dude.

We were originally scheduled at my friend D’mac’s but unfortunately David passed away recently and we had to switch gears, but I’ll be keeping him in my heart for this very special show and my first time playing the Flora Bama tent stage in many years. Come enjoy this exciting and more convenient location for an afternoon of fun and friends in the heart of the festival! Oh, and you’d better get your liver ready for some Bushwhackers!

PRIVATE SHOW- doors officially open at noon for those of you who want to get in early and get lunch, and the show will start at 1pm. Mike and Will will perform until 2:30/3pm and you’ll still have plenty of time left to catch the other late afternoon performances around town or stay right here at the Bama and keep the party going!
Every seat will have a good view of the stage in the wide open floor plan and we are doing first come, first seated for all of it at a flat rate of $30 per person. There will be food and drinks available for purchase on site.
Please note: there will not be a physical ticket for this show. You will check in with your name (the name of the person purchasing the tickets) at the door of the tent stage and we’ll check you off the list for the number of people you purchased tickets for. We will have tables where you can order food so come early and eat lunch!
