The Zonta Walk

Calling All Parrot Heads! Put On Your Walking Shoes and Help Us Stomp Out Breast Cancer! The Zonta Club of Key West encourages you to join in with the hundreds of runners and walkers for this year’s event on Saturday, November 6. Registration is at 7am and start times are 7:30am (10k) and 8am (5K) from race start/finish at Salute! 1000 Atlantic Blvd in Key West. The first 200 registered are guaranteed a participation medal.

MOTM is out for Blood!

As we ready for a historic turnout at MOTM21, let’s make sure we Parrot Heads continue our historical awesomeness at the annual One Blood Drive just outside the Casa Marina all day Thursday, and all morning Friday November 4 and 5. 40 appointments still to be filled Thursday 1-4 and Friday 12-2. Take home a tee-shirt (about ten left), a gift card, and/or the good feeling of knowing you’ve literally given of yourself to help a stranger who needs you.

Key West Attractions

Palm-lined streets with gingerbread mansions and tin-roofed conch houses were home to Ernest Hemingway, Tennessee Williams, Elizabeth Bishop, Robert Frost and Jimmy Buffett, a few of the famous people who discovered solace and inspiration in the island city whose Bahamian and Cuban heritage in large part was inspired by Bahamian wreckers, commercial fishermen, spongers and Cuban cigar makers.
