Homemade Wine

Homemade Wine: A Southern Rock Story

Homemade Wine, the Tennessee-born Southern rock band, took shape in 2008 when Ryan Sheley, Tod Sheley, and Matt McSpadden teamed up. The lineup solidified in early 2009 with Tommie John and Brad Williams joining, and soon after, they hit the studio to record their debut, *Music for the Salty Soul*, released in 2010. It marked the start of a busy run for the group.

The band went on to produce two more albums while maintaining a grueling schedule, playing 300 days a year with other acts. Ryan Sheley’s lyrics carried a personal touch, paired with Matt McSpadden’s smooth harmonies and Tommie John’s standout guitar leads. Brad Williams and Tod Sheley anchored the sound with a rhythm section sharpened by years on the road.

After parting ways in 2015, Homemade Wine left a lasting mark on the Southern rock scene. Now, for the first time since 2012, the original members are reuniting for a one-night show at Meeting of the Minds, offering a rare chance to hear their music live once more.
